Psychedelic rock pioneer Roky Erickson has had a very long, very hard life.  To put it in movie terms, basically Requiem For A Dream, One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest, every other Aranofsky film, and that one where Jaimee Foxx plays the cello and Robert Downey Jr. looks concerned, all rolled into one.  He is doing a lot better now though, thanks to some help from his family and friends, and even made a new record with twangy bookworms Okkervil River.  It is the feel-good hit of the summer.
